The ABIO Lecco association, coordinated by Fondazione ABIO Italia ONLUS, has been providing services in the Paediatrics Department of the ‘A. Manzoni’ Hospital in Lecco since 2007.
ABIO Lecco currently provides its services in the Paediatrics Department thanks to a group of volunteers who take turns every day, from Monday to Saturday, with morning and afternoon shifts. |

The task of ABIO volunteers is to stand alongside hospitalised children and young people, offering support to their families as well, by listening to them and providing information on the services available in the hospital. The presence of ABIO volunteers in the ward ensures a warm welcome upon admission, recreational entertainment, reassurance and care. The volunteers work with healthcare staff to respond effectively to the needs of patients and their families. The association is also committed to making wards more welcoming and colourful.
The Pasturo Team will donate €1 from each athlete's Grigne SkyMarathon registration fee to ABIO Lecco. |
