1. The Pasturo ASD Team, in collaboration with the Pasturo Members' Association, the Municipality of Pasturo and local associations, is organising the first edition of the “Grigne Short Race a.m. Ambrogio Aliprandi” race, included in the F.I.Sky - Italian Skyrunning Federation calendar.
2. The race will take place on Saturday 20 September 2025, starting at 08:15 from Pasturo (altitude 635 m), on a route of approximately 14 km with an elevation gain of approximately 1,000 metres and an elevation loss of the same amount.
If weather conditions are unfavourable for the race to take place on the original route, the race will be postponed to Sunday 21 September 2025.
3. Participation is open to athletes, both male and female, aged between 16 (born in 2009) and 75 (born in 1950) who hold a type B1 competitive medical certificate or a type B1 certificate of fitness for competitive sports issued by a sports medicine centre and valid on the day of the race.
4. There is a limit of 200 registrations. Beyond this limit, registrations will only be accepted as reserves.
5. The meeting point is set for 7:40 a.m. Race bibs can be collected from 1:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. on Friday 19 September and from 6:30 a.m. to 7:30 a.m. on Saturday 20 September.
6. Registrations will only be considered valid upon payment of the registration fee using the methods provided. If the registration limit is reached, the organisation reserves the right to accept new registrations to replace those who have not yet made payment by 17 September.
7. The race will take place along mountain trails with a challenging route of ascents and descents on trails classified as “E”. There are no exposed and/or equipped passages. Good physical preparation and experience of high mountain trails are required. The route is certified by the route director, a F.I.Sky certified mountain guide.
8. The entire route will be marked with specific trail markers, flags, ribbons and checkpoints.
9. Several checkpoints will be set up, and failure to pass through any one of them will result in disqualification.
10. There will be two refreshment points along the route (Rifugio Pialeral at km 5 and Rifugio Riva at km 10).
11. The race will be coordinated by radio links between the finish line and key points along the route.
12. There will be two time checkpoints: at Rifugio Antonietta al Pialeral: 1 hour and 30 minutes after the start and at Rifugio Riva: 2 hours and 50 minutes after the start. Competitors who do not pass the gates within the set time limit are obliged to stop. From this moment on, athletes who do not pass the time gate become normal hikers.
13.The maximum time to complete the race is set at 3 hours and 30 minutes.
14.Once the finish line closes (maximum time), assistance along the route will no longer be guaranteed.
15. Timing will be carried out using electronic chips.
16. Competitors who abandon the race must notify any checkpoint, showing their race number at the same time. If the withdrawal does not require medical intervention, the athlete must return independently to the nearest exit point (Pasturo Finish) and notify the checkpoint. From this moment on, athletes who do not pass the time gate become normal hikers. The Areu helicopter will only be called in cases where the Alpine Rescue Service is required.
17. It is compulsory to follow the marked route, otherwise penalties or disqualification will be imposed. Race numbers must be visible throughout the competition.
18. A ten-minute penalty or disqualification will be imposed in the event of repeat offences for athletes who throw cups, bottles, etc. along the route and do not comply with safety regulations and the instructions of the various officials at the most dangerous points. For safety reasons, external assistance is not permitted, under penalty of disqualification.
19. In case of bad weather, the competition may be held on an alternative route; in case of particularly difficult weather conditions, the organisation may decide to suspend the race during its course: in this case, the ranking will be drawn up based on the last checkpoint passed. In the event of this decision, the prize money will be halved. The organisation reserves the right to temporarily suspend or definitively interrupt the race for all or part of the competitors if there are situations that could seriously compromise the safety of the athletes or people present along the route (e.g. helicopter rescue operations, falling rocks/boulders, etc.).
20. Each competitor MUST arrive at the start equipped with:
- personal k-way
- bib provided by the organisation
- trail running shoes
- cup or water bottle
If, during the race or upon arrival, an athlete is found without such equipment, the penalties provided for in the FISKY and ISF regulations will be applied. The use of technical shoes with well-marked soles (trail running/skyrunning) is strongly recommended.
21. The use of poles/rackets is permitted.
22. Any complaints after the race must be submitted to the jury within 30 minutes of the arrival order being displayed, accompanied by €50.00, which will be refunded if the complaint is accepted.
23. The organisers will provide race assistance with the support of the Alpine Rescue Service on the most challenging sections of the route, as well as emergency medical assistance from 118 if necessary. For anything not specified in these regulations, please refer to the FISKY 2025 regulations.
