Grigne Skymarathon, the only Italian stage 2023 of Skyrunner World Series will be run on Sunday.
Sold out of bibs, great champions, athletes from 28 different nations and some of the best Italian performers of the specialty for the second edition of Grigne Skymarathon. As scheduled, the Davide Invernizzi Memorial will be staged on Saturday with a possible make-up date in case of bad weather the following day. Start and finish location, as always, Pasturo. From the heart of Valsassina, at 7:30 a.m., 374 Sky runners (334 men and 40 women) will tackle 42km and 3600m d+ with passage to the 2184m of the Southern Grigna and the 2410 of the Northern Grigna.
The Organisation Committee has decided, in response to numerous requests received, to increase the number of bibs available by making an additional 50 available from 05 July 2023 at 10:00 a.m.
The registration fee remains confirmed at € 60.00. For FISKY member athletes, the fee is confirmed at € 55.00.
With the closing of pre-registrations for the Grigne Sky Marathon we would like to thank all participants for their great interest and enthusiasm for our race.
We would like to inform the athletes that by Wednesday, May 10, they will receive an email replying to their pre-registration, in which it will be indicated if they have passed the selection and therefore can proceed to the official registration for the race (by May 31).
This morning, as planned, we supplied all the hut refreshment areas at high altitude with the necessary supplies.
However, the uncertain weather conditions oblige us to monitor, together with the Mountain Rescue Service and the Route Director (Alpine Guide), the evolution of the weather conditions from the radar centres with the objective of informing by the evening of Saturday 18 September the decision on the race track that will be used.
An alternative route has already been prepared to guarantee the safe running of the event even in bad weather conditions.
Due to the increasing demand, we have decided to release some bibs.
The request for registration can be made by sending your personal details, telephone number and CVs (3 Skyrunning races of which at least one SkyMarathon over 35km) to the following address: info@grigneskymarathon.com
On 13 July, F.I.Sky sent us the updated Covid-19 protocol. Consequently we have updated the race protocol

Which athlete has not heard at least once about the “(great) Trofeo Scaccabarozzi"?
Those who remember describe it as something massive, a glorious memory of the very first races of Skyrunning that rewards tenacity as well as strength, the head as well as the legs.
It was September 30th 2001, Fabio Meraldi was the first to cross the finish line of the first edition of the Sentiero delle Grigne “Trofeo Scaccabarozzi”.
For the next 11 years the path has seen the birth of great athletes of the international scene.
